Join us for a special in-conversation panel discussion facilitated by local librarian, Leanne, with three of her favourite female Australian crime and thriller authors: Jaye Ford, Wendy James, and Caroline Overington. These three incredible women are masters in their field and will be exploring the art of crime.

About Jaye Ford

Jaye, a former news and sports journalist and public relations consultant, is the internationallyselling author of five chilling suspense novels. Her first thriller, Beyond Fear, won two Davitt Awards for Australian women crime writers (Best Debut and Readers’ Choice) and was the highest selling debut crime novel in Australia in 2011. Her novels have been translated into nine languages and recorded as audio books.

About Wendy James

Wendy is the celebrated author of eight novels, including the bestselling The Mistake and The Golden Child, which was shortlisted for the 2017 Ned Kelly Award for crime. Her debut novel, Out of the Silence, won the 2006 Ned Kelly Award for first crime novel, and was shortlisted for the Nita May Dobbie Award for women’s writing. Wendy works as an editor at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation.

About Caroline Overingotn

Caroline is a two-time winner of the Walkley Award for Investigative Journalism; and a winner of the Sir Keith Murdoch Award for Excellence in Journalism. A former New York correspondent for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, Caroline is the author of both fiction and non-fiction books, including nine crime thrillers. Recent novels include The Lucky Ones, The Ones You Trust, and The One Who Got Away.
