A day for women and their friends to be inspired, be enlightened by talented and passionate women who will talk about art, literature, community, the #metoo movement and women’s mental health. Our speakers will be specifically addressing women, our history, the current climate situation whilst money raised over the weekend from our raffle plus commission from art sales will be donated to Wildlife A.R.C. Our guest speaker Meg Keneally who will talk about her first solo novel, Fled, a gripping historical adventure based on the extraordinary life of convict Mary Bryant. Meg speaks with Jacqui Barton about her heart-wrenching story of one woman’s lifelong search for freedom.

Meg Keneally
Meg Keneally’s first solo novel Fled tells the tale of one of history’s most daring escapes and is based a true story. She is currently working on her second solo novel The Wreck. Meg is co-author with her father Tom Keneally of the Monsarrat Series of historical crime novels. The fourth in the series is The Ink Stain.
Belinda Preston
Belinda Preston is a Psychologist practicing in Gosford, her special interest is Mental Health. We are all affected one way or another by the recent bushfires which can raise a range of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that can be intense, confusing and frightening.
Jacqui Barton
Jacqui Barton is an education consultant with a personal interest in the #metoo movement , whilst the campaign aims to unite people by bringing to light the huge amount of sexual harassment and abuse facing women everyday, it’s also a triggering issue for many.
Maree Azzopardi
Our host, Maree Azzopardi is a multi-disciplinary artist & will talk about her current work which addresses women, our current climate and introduce the exhibition. Jacqui will talk about books that support and focus on stories of the #MeToo movement.
