In 1865 Tomás and his ten year old son Liam are mapping a remote Atlantic peninsula in a country still scarred by Ireland’s Great Hunger.

Tomás hopes the maps will preserve the memory of the tragedy, but an unsettling encounter in the woods derails their work and shatters his composure.
