  • BOOK FACE Erina Fair Erina Fair Shopping Centre, Shop KM 006 Terrigal Drive Erina, NSW, 2250 Australia (map)

Join us for a celebration of Hannah Kent's best-selling novel Burial Rites with readings from the gorgeous book and a performance of original music. The landscape and atmosphere evoked by Hannah Kent in her novel was an inspiration for Michaele's latest recording "Galatea" and the upcoming show "Songs of the Solstice" at the Gosford Regional Gallery. Excerpts from the book will be read by actor Augusta Miller with a performance of original music by Michaele Archer and Gabrielle Steele.

Inspired by the colour and movement of the landscape of Iceland ‘Songs of the Solstice’ is set against the backdrop of a Winter art installation. The artistic works draw inspiration from the best-selling novel Burial Rites written by Australian author Hannah Kent. The mood and ambience of the Icelandic landscape created in Burial Rites inspired Michaele Archers, Creative Director of ‘Songs of the Solstice’ show and to write the song ‘Galatea’.

There will be two performances, one at 11.30am and another at 12.30 pm.
