When former World War II Beaufighter pilot Warrant Officer Lerryn Mutton OAM arrived on the doorstep of history writer Patricia Skehan and asked her to write his wartime story. Patricia was intrigued and turned on her tape recorder.

Join Patricia at Erina Library as she tells the dramatic stories and experiences of Mutton, his navigators and ground crew, with the Beaufighter aircraft, known for its silent motors earning it the nickname Whispering Death.
